our commitments

At our level, we are contributing to reducing our greenhouse gas emissions. Here are a few examples:

CARBON FOOTPRINT 2025

Our carbon footprint amounted to 58.9 tons of CO₂, for an average of 14.8 employees.
(CO₂ includes all greenhouse gases, the main one being CO₂.)

Our 2024 carbon footprint was 77.8 tons of CO₂, for an average of 13 employees.

54.1 tons of CO₂ is equivalent to approximately:

round trips between Paris and New York
0
km travelled by car
0
years of electric heating
0

An observation that encourages us to take even more action!

OUR ENVIRONMENTAL ACTIONS

Installation of a composter :

Composting helps reduce the amount of waste produced and therefore lowers the number of waste collection trips, while also reducing the need for waste incineration and landfill disposal.

Domestic compost is a natural, environmentally friendly fertiliser with no polluting impact. It enriches the soil, improves its structure, stimulates the growth of plants and flowers, and supports healthy root development.

At SICA Nucléaire, we have set up our own composting system to make better use of our organic waste. The compost produced is then used to naturally nourish and enrich our vegetable garden.

More than 35% of our vehicle fleet consists of electric vehicles, and 25% consists of hybrid vehicles.
Waste sorting: Installation of 3 recycling bins. Recycling of electronic devices, batteries, etc.

We provide our employees with balanced and varied meals every day, made with seasonal fruit and vegetables.

No plastic is used: only reusable tableware is provided. To help reduce food waste, our cook serves meals directly onto plates. Any leftovers are made available to employees in reusable containers.

Partenariats locaux :

At SICA Nucléaire, we place great importance on involving local businesses and partners in the life of the company.

During our inter-company training sessions, participants can discover the creations of our catering chef Maxime, from l’Atelier des Gourmands. Pastries and bread are supplied by La Fuvette bakery.

We also work with IT service providers located close to our premises, such as Aixagon, in order to favour short supply chains and local partnerships.

Our vehicles are maintained by Renault MCCP Automobiles in Fuveau, and our paper supplies are purchased from a local stationery shop, la Maison de la Presse of Fuveau.

OUR SOCIAL INITIATIVES

Gender Equality

At SICA Nucléaire, our teams include an equal number of women and men across all functions, both support and operational roles.

Associations :

SICA Nucléaire is a partner of a Marseille-based association: RCGMS WHAT IS RCGMS? Personalised support adapted to the needs of each child. Each week, groups of up to 12 children take part in musical and rhythmic sessions with a rehabilitation focus, following the RCGMS protocol and supervised by specialised professionals. These sessions are offered free of charge to beneficiaries thanks to the support of donors. Scientific studies now show that musical and rhythmic practice can contribute to the development of cognitive abilities in children with neurodevelopmental disorders, particularly dyslexia.

Sports :

We are proud to support several sporting and community initiatives led by our employees and partners.

We support Thomas Saugneau, an experienced triathlete who takes part in events such as the IRONMAN 70.3 Nice, the Paris Half Marathon and La Lepierre GF Ventoux. We also support Julien Veyrunes in his sporting challenges, including the Fuvelaine 2026 and Trail des Maures 2026.

We also sponsor Christel’s team, La Minute Rose des Sables, which takes part in the Trophée Rose des Sables 2022 and the Rose Trip Maroc 2023, a 100% women’s sporting challenge supporting the charities Les Enfants du Désert and Ruban Rose.

Finally, we are partners of the basketball team of the association Les Amis de l’Instruction Laïque de Fuveau, which shares our values of solidarity, respect, inclusion and excellence. This association has been working for many years to promote the development of young people through sport and culture.

For many years, the association has given young people the opportunity to thrive through sport and cultural activities, while promoting values of education, citizenship and secularism. We share this vision and are proud to support its athletes in their future achievements, both on and off the court.
